Ban Policies

This page is the source of truth for admin ban decisions that affect competitive integrity on GOKZ.TOP. It covers cheating, boosting, exploiting, and ban evasion only.

These policies guide admin decisions, but admins may still use judgment for exceptional cases when the evidence and impact clearly justify it.

Core Rule

Admins punish actions that damage competitive integrity:

  • Cheating
  • Boosting
  • Exploiting
  • Ban evasion

Cooperation And Repeat Violations

  • If a player admits the mistake, cooperates, and actively corrects behavior, admins may reduce the first-offense punishment by one level.
  • If a player refuses instructions, hides evidence, lies, uses alts, or resists enforcement, admins should increase punishment.
  • If the same violation happens again, the player receives no lighter punishment for admission or cooperation. The player already had the chance to correct behavior after the first violation.

Punishment Table

Violation Ban Type First Time Second Time Record Action
Cheating: strafe hack, bhop hack, external cheat, or movement assistance tool strafe_hack, bhop_hack 10 years Permanent Clear all records
Boosting another player's record, rank, completion, or stats boosting 6 months 1 year Remove affected records
Knowingly receiving boosted records boosting 1 month 6 months Remove affected records
Self-reporting received boosted records for the first time before admin action boosting 7 days Not eligible; use second-time receiving-boosted punishment Remove reported boosted records
Exploiting map, plugin, timer, or server bugs for records or advantage exploiting 3 months 1 year Remove affected records
Severe exploit: exploit takes an original WR exploiting 1 year Permanent Remove affected records; clear broader record history if evidence supports it
Ban evasion using an alt account ban_evasion Permanent ban on the alt N/A Remove alt records if needed

Explicit Non-Scope

  • Do not include bhop_macro; it is handled automatically by the GOKZ plugin.
  • Do not include strafe_macro; it is not part of this policy.
  • Do not create standard bans for abuse, harassment, impersonation, false reports, or admin obstruction yet.
  • Admins may still act on extremely severe cases, but those cases are exceptional and are not regular moral-ban categories.

Evidence And Admin Procedure

  • Do not ban from suspicion alone.
  • Acceptable evidence includes replay review, instant replay or screen recording of the suspicious player, impossible movement patterns, impossible run records such as a 0.1s WR, admission, linked-account evidence, boosting coordination evidence, reproducible exploit proof, and other clear evidence.
  • For cheating bans, document why the evidence supports 10 years + clear all records.
  • For reduced first-offense punishments, document the cooperation or self-report reason in ban notes.
  • For stricter punishments, document repeat offense, refusal, evidence hiding, alt usage, or impact severity.

Terms

  • Clear all records means removing or invalidating all competitive records for that player through the existing admin record-moderation workflow.
  • Remove affected records means removing or invalidating only the records connected to the violation when the affected scope can be clearly identified.
